The Certua Group, a deep data company targeting financial services, has acquired Insurtech the Surely Group.
Surely provides a cloud-based, multi-lingual and multi-currency Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) product that allows a user to obtain a quote for an insurance product, buy the product and manage the product online. Surely’s current clients include Allianz, Healix, Lloyds Bank, Talbot and Verisk
According to Certua, the deal will complement Certua’s established enterprise financial services platform and data science capability, following increased demand from financial services distributors for rapid, configurable user experience as part of an end-to-end proposition
The announcement follows last years launch of Certua’s Enterprise Insurance platform. The ‘plug in’ via API product is designed to tightly integrate into Certua’s financial services platform.

Insurance is one sector of Fintech that remains only lightly touched by innovative approaches using technology. A massive market, Insurtech may be one of the most promising sectors of Fintech in the coming years.
