European Crowdfunding Network Publishes Global Review of Regulatory Environment

European Crowdfunding Network ECNThe European Crowdfunding Network (ECN) – a stalwart proponent of crowdfunding – has put together a fabulous overview of the regulatory environments for crowdfunding across Europe, North American and Israel – 29 countries in all.  The publishing team included the vital support of Tanja Aschenbeck-Florange and Thomas Nagel from Osborne Clarke.  With the support of many different legal firms from around the globe the ECN has created a highly useful comparative document for those of us inclined to dig further into the legal world of global crowdfunding.

Oliver GajdaThe ECN, led by forward thinking Oliver Gajda, has championed the cause and benefits of investment crowdfunding across the continent.  Gajda and his advocates have helped guide the European Commission in pushing forward to create an environment where pan-European crowdfunding may flourish and grow.  In fact an official opinion is expected from the European Commission in early 2014.  Meanwhile the diverse countries which make up Europe continue to move forward with investment crowdfunding with differing trajectories.  This fragmentation needs to be addressed and  the ECN has been very vocal in this cause.
