Prepaid Payments Firm Recharge Reports 39% Sales Growth in 2024

European Fintech Recharge says total sales increased by 39% to €695 million in 2024. This drove top-line revenue to increase by 32% to €73.6 million.

The company reports that EBITDA has doubled to €8.1 million, and net profit has reached €7.5 million.

Günther Vogelpoel, CEO of Recharge, commented on the results explaining that 2024 was a defining year his company.

“We reinforced our market leadership, launched foundational infrastructure for future growth, and delivered strong performance across the board. Online demand for prepaid payment solutions is accelerating as we connect top tier brands with more and more consumers — Recharge is uniquely positioned to lead this shift. With scale, profitability, and a strong pipeline of innovation, we’re ready for the next phase.”

Recharge is a global prepaid payments platform operating across both B2C and B2B segments. The company states that it is currently active in 180 markets.

The company adds that it started 2025 on firm footing, having raised a €45 million M&A facility from ABN AMRO to accelerate its growth strategy.

Recharge also acquired GiftCloud to expand B2B operations.
