The crypto sphere is lamenting another hack today, as reports are all over X that Mobius Token has been the target of a hack. Apparently, $MBU on BNB Chain was utilized to steal approximately $2.1 million as tokens were minted and quickly sold.
Blockaid, a security platform, says this most recent attack “highlights critical vulnerabilities in the DeFi landscape and raises urgent questions about smart contract resilience and attacker sophistication.”
Blockaid explains that once the exploit contract had minted the tokens, the hacker used PancakeSwap to trade them for USDT.
🚨 Our exploit detection system had identified multiple malicious transactions targeting Mobius Token ($MBU) contracts.
$2.1M had been drained so far.
