Wirex Unveils “Rising Women in Crypto Power List”

Digital payments platform Wirex announced on Monday the unveiling of its “2020 Rising Women in Crypto Power List” Wirex claims that the List, which was done in partnership with The Fintech Times, received a total of 367 entries and features the ten most inspirational women at the “forefront of the cryptocurrency industry.”

Wirex also revealed that the List was created as part of Wirex’s inaugural “Women of Crypto” campaign that showcases the achievements of women in the crypto field. In no particular order, the List is featured below.

  • Noelle Acheson: Director of Research at CoinDesk
  • Professor Tonya M. Evans: Professor at Penn State Dickinson Law
  • Lucy Gazmararian: Associate Director of PWC Crypto and Fintech Advisory
  • Susan Crew: Content Creator at “Crypto Granny”
  • Simone Maini: CEO of Elliptic
  • Inbal Polak: Director of Fund for Digital Assets at YRD Capital
  • Elizabeth Kukka: Executive Director at Ethereum Classic Labs
  • Sofie Blakstad: CEO of hiveonline
  • Christina Lomazzo: Blockchain Lead at UNICEF
  • Lenka Hudáková: Events Manager at Maker Foundation

Speaking about the List, Wirex CEO and Co-Founder and Power List judge, Pavel Matveev, stated:

We’ve been overwhelmed by the positive response we’ve received so far, and we’re delighted to finally reveal the ‘Power List’ top 10.

Wirex then added that during the final phase of the campaign, there is a “Women in Crypto” takeover on its channels. The takeover will feature content from women working at Wirex, as well as female influencers in the crypto and fintech fields. Contributors include:

As previously reported, Wirex is a UK FCA-licenced global digital payment platform that has forged new rules in the digital money arena. The company also claims it is the only platform that allows access to OTC and interbank rates for crypto and traditional currency exchanges respectively, ensuring the platform’s users always get the best deal. The platform recently raised £3,701,909 through its equity crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube.
