Australia’s CoinJar Launches Cryptocurrency Mobile App For Android

Australian cryptocurrency exchange platform CoinJar recently announced it has launched its mobile app for Android smartphones. Founded in 2013, Coinjar claims to be Australia’s longest-running digital currency exchange. The company’s services allow users to buy, sell, store, and spend digital assets.

As an award-winning, venture capital-backed startup, we’re known for our simple and easy-to-use products. Innovations such as the popular digital currency debit card, CoinJar Swipe, and our mobile application CoinJar Touch have put digital currency in the hands of hundreds of thousands of people. Our sights are set on building valuable applications in the digital currency industry – best in class products that work to your benefit. We’re excited about the technology behind digital currency.”

CoinJar also reported that back in 2015 it released the original CoinJar app at the start of the cryptocurrency revolution and to this day it claims to remain one of the only Australian digital currency exchanges to provide native apps for both iOS and Android.

In the five years that have followed, the CoinJar platform has grown and evolved alongside the cryptocurrency industry. To help accommodate the many new features and cryptocurrencies we’ve taken this opportunity to rebuild our app from the ground up — a new, intuitive interface to better suit the way you can manage your digital currency profile today.”

CoinJar users are now able to buy, sell and send cryptocurrencies using the CoinJar Android app. Coinjar went on to add:

You can now generate wallet addresses and QR codes for all of our supported digital currencies within the app, allowing you to receive funds quickly and securely from any sender. As always, sending payments to other CoinJar members incurs no payment fee when you send to their CoinJar username. It’s also possible to add and manage your CoinJar’s SMS or TOTP authenticators all from within the app. If your device supports it, you can use either fingerprint or face authentication to securely authorise payments from your device.”
