Lendix Appoints Luuc Mannaerts As New CEO of Lender Nederland

Earlier this week, France-based online lending platform Lendix announced it has appointed Luuc Mannaerts as the new CEO of Lender Nederland, Lendix’s Dutch subsidiary. According to the online lender, Mannaerts has more than 20 years of experience in the Dutch and European banking sector.

Prior to joining Lendix, Mannaerts was CEO of ABN AMRO Commercial Finance, an ABN AMRO subsidiary with over 500 employees and specializing in SME finance in the Netherlands, the UK, France, and Germany. Lendix also revealed that thanks to his background, Mannaerts has specialized knowledge of the Dutch SME fabric. Speaking about Mannaerts’ appointment, Olivier Goy, Founder of Lendix, stated:

“We are very honoured to have convinced an experienced profile like Luuc to join the Lendix adventure. Beyond the Netherlands, we have much to learn from his knowledge of SME finance in Europe.”

 Mannaerts then added:

“I am delighted to have the opportunity to start up Lendix Netherlands and be part of this European venture. Lendix’s mission ‘to create a trustworthy marketplace where all of us transform SME financing’ is close to my heart and I believe the Dutch market can be an important contributor to achieve that goal.”

The appointment of Mannaerts comes just a couple of months after Lendix sought €4.9 million in lending during a single day. Lendix announced earlier this year it was setting up shop in Germany and the Netherlands and expects to be operational in a further 5 European countries by the end of the year.
