Fathom Drones, a Michigan-based drone startup, has launched a Reg CF campaign on Nextcapital, seeking funds as it prepares to expand. Founded in 2014, Fathom’s team has technical backgrounds range from mechanical, to electrical, to software engineering. They also have entrepreneurial experience through the Yale Entrepreneurial Institute, the Hope College Entrepreneurial Institute, and the Emerge Xcelerate program.
The company describes Fathom One Drones as user-friendly, intuitive, portable underwater devices that users may control through a smartphone app.

Fathom recently raised $197,943 from 656 backers through its reward-based crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter and was part of the Techstars Mobility Class of 2017.

While sharing his thoughts about the company, David Cohen, Techstars CEO and angel investor, stated:

All funds from the latest funding round will be used to continue the drone company’s expansion and growth. It is set to close later this winter
