The European Crowdfunding Network (ECN) is reminding alternative finance industry types to complete the survey on cross-border crowdfunding and online lending (IE P2P lending, marketplace lending etc.). The survey deadline is 12 Noon this Friday, July 14th.
ECN seeks help in generating input for Capital Market Union review around obstacles to cross-border crowdfunding for both lending (P2P) and securities (equity).
The ECN is seeking the collaboration of crowdfunding platforms and other stakeholders in Europe to help evaluate the effectiveness and degree of convergence of national regulatory frameworks, convergence, sharing of best practice and developments.
The ECN would like input from both members and non-members with experience in or knowledge of issues around cross-border crowdfunding to deliver vital input for the European Commission’s review off the Capital Market Union.
The survey focuses only on crowdfunding models that entail a financial return, notably:
- investment-based crowdfunding (where companies issue equity or debt instruments to crowd-investors through a platform) and
- lending-based crowdfunding (where companies or individuals seek to obtain funds from the public through platforms in the form of a loan agreement)
