Elite Training Experience Nears £140,000 During the Final Hours on Crowdcube

Elite Training Experience (aka ETE), a provider of warm weather triathlon training camps, is nearing £140,000 in funding during the final hours of its equity crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube. The company launched the initiative last month, seeking £125,000.

ETE, which was founded by Julian Hucker in 2016, is looking to become the leading provider of warm weather triathlon training camps, not just to the UK’s 140,000 triathletes but the 2 million triathletes worldwide. The company revealed that three camps were successfully delivered in 2016, and Spring 2017 camps are already selling out. The company reported:

Our training camps provide the opportunity for any athlete, whatever their level, to combine performance-focused coaching with their vacation.”

ETE also reported it successfully ran three camps in Gran Canaria last year, with the first hosted by 2x Commonwealth Games Champion Jodie Stimpson. It is also launched four ETE camps in Cyprus for this upcoming spring and partnered with OneStepBeyond to run three further camps this month. Speaking about where the funds from the Crowdcube campaign will go towards, ETE stated:

Funds will primarily be used to accelerate our marketing with a broad marketing plan comprising social, digital, and offline marketing. Further funding will be committed to the ETE Racing squad, who both support the camps and promote ETE during the racing season.”

The company added that it aims to develop a pilot for using online tools to delivering training camps remotely, as a digital follow-on from overseas camps. The campaign is set to close later today.
