Tax Reform in the Next Congress – Washington, DC

December 1, 2016 @ 8:30 am - 10:30 am EST

Last June, House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady released the outline of a major tax reform plan as part of Speaker Paul Ryan’s “A Better Way” agenda.  The committee staff is drafting legislation and the committee is expected to take up tax reform early in the next Congress.  President-elect Trump released a tax reform plan during the campaign and tax reform is one of his top priorities.  Both plans seek to enhance economic growth, job creation and the competitiveness of U.S. businesses.  Join us as House Ways and Means Chairman Brady makes the case for tax reform and shares his perspective on likely Congressional action.  Following his remarks, a panel will examine the similarities and differences between the Ways and Means and Trump tax plans and discuss their likely economic impact.
