About the Speakers
Eliane Fiolet is the co-founder and editor of Ubergizmo.com where she writes about web applications, design and usability. She also owns a Corporate ID design business that helps companies create great brands. Prior to opening her own agency, Eliane has worked for a top design firm, creating identities for Fortune 500 companies and has also designed for an award-winning adventure game. Eliane holds a master degree in visual communication and design from the “Art Decoratifs” college and majored in mathematics and physics in high school.
Denise Gershbein graduated from Stanford with an MFA in Product Design and has worked at Frog Design for 9+ years, leading teams to create meaningful products and designs. She frequently speaks on panels about design thinking, innovation and Frog’s Collective Action Toolkit.
Marcus Weller is CEO and founder Skully Helmets. Recently raised over 1 million dollars on indiegogo for his smart design. Prior to Skully, Marcus was a management consultant and Industrial Psychologist in the Automotive and Semiconductor industries. He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Psychology and is a motorcycle enthusiast with an obsession for human-centered technology and design.
Dr. Stuart Evans is a Distinguished Service Professor at Carnegie Mellon Silicon Valley, where he teaches “Innovation & Entrepreneurship”. He is a board member, educator and author, focusing on dynamic high tech ventures. His professional career spans research (SRI International, Stanford Graduate School of Business,), teaching (The Judge Business School, Cambridge University), consulting (Bain and Company, Menlo Park, California), and investing (Sand Hill Venture Group, Menlo Park, California).
