4th Annual ECN Crowdfunding Convention – Paris

ECN is happy to announce that the 4th ECN Crowdfunding Convention will take place on the 29 – 30 October 2015 in Paris, where some 300 key stakeholders in Europe’s crowdfunding, innovation and early-stage investing sectors are expected to participate.

The Crowdfunding  industry is the fastest growing financing source for Small and Medium Businesses in the World, with an estimated  growth rate of about 75%  year on year in Europe alone and some €201 million of funds provided to European SMEs in 2014. It is a major, long term wave that redefines the shape of how things get funded in cohesion with open innovation and as part of the collaborative economy. For this reason, it could not go unnoticed to National and European policymakers, who have been increasingly dedicating time and resources to crowdfunding and included it in major policy documents, such as the one on Capital Markets Union by the European Commission.

The ECN Crowdfunding Convention is the reference event for the crowdfunding and early stage investment industry in Europe, gathering top-ranking decision makers from a large variety of industries to discuss the rise of this disruptive sector. This year’s edition will have a special focus on crowdfunding within the Capital Markets Union and therefore we invite all the relevant stakeholder groups to join us in Paris and contribute to the debate.

We are honored that the ECN Crowdfunding Convention is hosted – once again, after the very successful edition of 2014-  by Bpifrance, which will open its headquarter in the heart of Paris to our guests.  We are looking forward the ECN Crowdfunding Convention and we hope it will help promoting  crowdfunding to international markets and  that it will be of support to the European Commission’s efforts to draw up a harmonised European regulatory framework and an effective Capital Markets Union.
