Philippine Fintech BillEase Partners With Maya Business to Expand BNPL Access

BillEase, a digital consumer finance platform in the Philippines, has partnered with Maya Business, the country’s largest digital payments processor, to bring its Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) service to Maya’s ecosystem.

The integration enables installment-based payments at checkout via QRPh-enabled point-of-sale (POS) terminals and online gateways, expanding access to flexible financing for Filipino consumers.

The partnership allows any shopper using a QRPh-supported banking or e-wallet app to scan a merchant’s code and pay using BillEase, instantly splitting purchases into manageable installments.

The service is available across thousands of merchants nationwide, both in-store and online, that use Maya Business’s payment infrastructure.

Through Maya’s checkout interface, customers can now choose BillEase as a payment option. Transactions up to PHP2,000 qualify for 0% interest payable within one month, while higher amounts can be financed over longer terms with competitive interest rates.

The integration is designed to make purchases more affordable and accessible, particularly for customers who do not own credit cards.

By leveraging QRPh—the national QR code standard—the BNPL offering is open-loop, meaning it works across multiple financial institutions and e-wallets.

This is expected to significantly broaden consumer adoption, as it removes the need for proprietary apps or closed systems.

BillEase’s move into Maya’s platform marks a notable expansion in the local BNPL space, enabling financial inclusivity through interoperable systems.

For merchants, the feature provides a new way to drive sales and increase conversion by offering installment payments without requiring additional infrastructure.

The collaboration reflects growing momentum in embedded finance in the Philippines, as fintechs and payment processors seek to offer seamless and inclusive payment solutions that meet the evolving needs of consumers in a mobile-first economy.
