JCB Co., Ltd., Japan’s international payments provider, announced that it enabled Google Pay for its clients.
Android(TM) smartphone users are able to now easily use Google Pay in stores where JCB Contactless is accepted, by adding credit/debit cards issued by the JCB Group in Japan to Google Pay.
In order to use Google Pay, would have to download the Google Wallet app and then proceed to add your JCB Card.
JCB says that it intends to further extend this support to various other JCB brand card issuers both in Japan as well as other markets.
Google Pay is described as a contactless mobile payments service for Android smartphones.
It’s worth noting that contactless payments are expected to grow in adoption in the coming years. As explained in the announcement, by adding your credit card or other payment methods, you can make payments with your smartphone.

As mentioned in the announcement, JCB Contactless is a payment method that enables secure, simple and fast payments.
As explained in a release, you are able to use your JCB Contactless card or smartphone with your JCB Card being added to a mobile wallet, at different stores and for services, such as Transit, by tapping it on the reader.
