LOVE Turntable Inc.’s Kickstarter campaign is still going strong with the help of 1026 backers and counting, having raised over $346,870 since launching late last week. The startup surpassed its goal within hours of launching its Kickstarter campaign which brings its smartphone-controlled turntable to market. Funding from the campaign will aid in the manufacturing process.
“We are really happy with the first days having reached more than 300 percent of our funding goal. We hope to be one of the top Kickstarter campaigns, having worked hard to make this happen,” commented LOVE Turntable CEO CH Pinhas via email. “Additionally, we will be announcing exciting stretch goals for the campaign in the next few days as the campaign progresses.”
The first stretch goal is set at $400K: all LOVE turntables will be equipped with an alarm clock function. LOVE’s alarm clock will allow backers to wake up with a specific song or the whole side of an LP/EP/SP. LOVE will have a timer function that turns LOVE off automatically. These can be used in conjunction with “repeat 1 song” or “repeat all.”
Citing spiked record sales, Pinhas set a goal “to make it simple for anyone to enjoy the natural melodies and pure traditional sound of analog through the convenience of modern-day technology.”
When asked why he founded the company, Pinhas responded via email,
“In the last ten years, vinyl has made a phenomenal comeback. There has been over 1000% increase in sales in the last seven years in the US alone! Listening to vinyl on a daily basis, I thought the experience could be simplified. I also wanted to democratize vinyl and make it accessible to everyone. I gathered the best team of experts to make LOVE a quality product.”
