YouCaring Announces Give Back Campaign; Offers Up $10,000 to Fundraising Community Every Tuesday in December

Seeking to make #GivingTuesday more than just a one-day event, crowdfunding platform YouCaring announced a new initiative called the Give Back Campaign.  Every Tuesday throughout the month of December, the website will be offering a total of $10,000 to its fundraiser community.

The campaign’s description reads:

YouCaring“’Tis the season of giving, and what better way to spread kindness and cheer than by helping others? We’re kicking off the season by donating $500 to four fundraisers every Tuesday during the month of December.* Selected fundraisers will also be featured on the YouCaring homepage and our social channels for extra exposure.”

YouCaring’s Leonard Lee shared in an email:

YouCaring 1“YouCaring’s first-ever Holiday Giveback campaign is giving back $500 each to four different fundraising campaigns every week through the month of December.  Any new or existing fundraising campaign on the site is eligible to be selected by adding #YouCaringGives to the end of their URL and sharing on social media.

“YouCaring will select the four weekly giveback recipients based on how the campaign embodies our mission to unleash compassion and truly make a difference in the lives of others, as well as their success in sharing on social media through photos, videos, updates and inspiring messages.

“We’re trying to not only encourage people to give to our thousands of fundraising campaigns, but we want to ourselves give back to our incredible community of fundraisers in this season of giving. We would like to thank them for using for YouCaring and for inspiring others to give.”

Other ways to get YouCaring’s attention include:

1. YouCaring 1Add five or more photos:

“High-quality images have a dramatic effect on fundraising success and viewers’ ability to develop empathy.”

2. Add a video:

“Fundraisers with videos raise 70% more on average. Videos are the most impactful tool to connect emotionally to potential donors.”

3. Share broadly and often:

“Post inspiring messages, photos and videos that will draw interest and inspire donations. Don’t forget to use the hashtag #YouCaringGives!”

4. Update your fundraiser frequently:

“Updating your fundraiser once a week with more text, photos or videos will grab attention and inspire compassion.”

5. Include a detailed story:

“Clearly highlight the specific details that paint a unique, personal, and compelling picture.”
