Fintech AffiniPay, an online payments provider for professionals, has hired Bryan D. Thompson as its CTO as the firm continues to expand its business operations.
Thompson’s appointment has been announced after AffiniPay made Inc. Magazine’s Inc 5000 List of Fastest Growing Companies in America (for the 10th consecutive year).
Bryan Thompson has more than 25 years of industry experience developing financial services tech platforms, working on product development, and managing high-growth businesses. During his 3 years working at CTO as Beyond Inc., a provider of business services for various merchants, Thompson led the launch of in-person, online, and mobile payment services.
During his time working at Beyond, the firm transitioned from being a startup to one of the most established merchant service providers in the US. Before this role, Thompson was the CTO at Heartland Payment Systems, which is one of the biggest payments processors in the US (at the time). At Heartland, Thompson led a team of around 400 tech workers that operated the firm’s core payments solutions.
Thompson graduated from Texas A&M University with a BBA in Business Administration focused in Management Information Systems. He was previously on the board of directors for Beyond and Leaf Holdings, a technology company providing tablet based point-of-sale and analytics to hospitality and retail merchants.

AffiniPay reports steady growth and is currently on track to handle over $13 billion in payments this year and continues its leadership role in the legal, accounting, architectural, and associations markets. AffiniPay has also hired Dru Armstrong, an experienced technology executive, as the CEO.
