UK’s White Peak Distillery Raises More Than £1.14 Million Through Crowdcube Round

White Peak Distillerya distillery based in the Peak District region, has raised more than £1.14 million through its equity crowdfunding campaign on CrowdcubeThe funding round, which originally sought to raise £500,000, has so far attracted nearly 800 Crowdcube investors.

Founded in 2016, White Peak Distillery claims to be the first full-scale craft distillery in the Peak District region with a focus on creating “authentic spirits with a unique favor.”

We set out to question the way whisky was made, and create unique, authentic flavours. Yeast and fermentation are at the heart of great flavour in craft beer but we think not enough in whisky. Yeast and fermentation are our focus. Our relentless pursuit of flavour is why we believe our whisky will be successful in a premium market where consumers value quality, authenticity and provenance.”

The distillery further revealed that its whisky will be launched in October 2021. Funds from the Crowdcube round will be used to continue the growth and development of the distillery, as well as its beverage.

To support our growth plan, we need to add to our passionate team to increase resources in sales & marketing, production and business administration.  And we’ll need to continue to finance the growth in our working capital. We have received advance assurance from HMRC that the shares issued will be eligible for tax relief through the Enterprise Investment Scheme.”

White Peak Distillery is now offering 7.80% in equity at a £13,483,500 pre-money valuation. The investment round is set to close towards the end of April.
