Digital Banking: Revolut has Rolled Out New Desktop Web App to Help Customers Better Manage their Finances

UK-based digital bank Revolut notes that with the New Year comes new features. The challenger bank has launched a new desktop Web App that will allow customers to better manage their finances.

In addition to the “handy” new desktop Web App, Revolut has introduced upgraded benefits to its “new and improved” Plans. Like most other services, Revolut customers now have the option to receive alerts when their free trials are ending, so they can decide whether to cancel.

The Revolut team writes in a blog post:

“You know what it’s like, you signed up for a subscription because they offered a free trial but then you forgot about it. If you didn’t like the product/service or weren’t ready to commit yet, then there’s nothing more annoying than your card getting charged again when you didn’t want it to. Well, you can forget that frustration if you charge all your subscriptions and scheduled payments through Revolut. We’ll alert you of trials ending and potential new subscriptions starting, so you can cancel them easily whenever you choose.”

Revolut also mentioned that customers can take their daily spending to “the next level” with the new purchase protection and insurance benefits the digital bank is offering to its Premium and Metal plans (T&Cs apply). So customers are able to book, travel, and spend with “greater trust” in what they’re buying “in case of the unexpected,” Revolut noted.

The challenger bank has also added another member to its family of products and services: Plus! The new feature has been designed to give your daily or everyday finances “a boost” for only £2.99 a month (or the currency equivalent) – and “get your purchases protected.” Revolut claims that you’ll really “thrive with Plus in your pocket, no matter what life throws at you.” You may compare all the digital bank’s plans here.

Revolut has also made it easier to view all your transactions with friends in a “thread-like view.” You just have to head over to Payments to check out the full view of peer to peer transfers you’ve performed with your contacts via the Revolut platform. Customers may also send “fun reactions” to payments with gifs or emojis.

Revolut further noted:

“Get money savvy and take advantage of the market when you exchange foreign currency. … you can now place limit order and stop orders when you exchange foreign currency – so you get the best rate possible.”

Revolut also mentioned that customers can now securely access their accounts from their desktop computers at any time (no matter where your phone might be). This option is ideal for customers who may prefer viewing their account on the big screen.

As reported recently, Revolut has announced a new service: Confirmation of Payee – available to over 3 million UK customers. The feature is part of Pay.UK’s anti-fraud initiative, according to a release. The feature has been enabled by its payments partner Modulr, one of the few non-banks to have direct access to the Bank of England payments infrastructure.

Revolut is currently pursuing a UK banking license and it’s anticipating half of its clients to deposit salaries and use it as their primary account.
