SaaS Tech Provider Datasite Completes Agreement to be Acquired By International Private Equity Firm CapVest

Datasite, a U.S.-based SaaS technology provider for mergers and acquisitions (M&A) professionals, announced on Wednesday it has completed its agreement to be acquired by funds managed by CapVest Partners LLP, an international private equity firm.

Datasite reported that the transaction, which was first announced on October 19th, is expected to fuel its continued growth. The company reported that last year it increased its revenue by more than 30%, as it facilitated close to 10,000 deals on its platform. Datasite’s applications include the following:

  • Datasite Diligence: Helps manage due diligence in a virtual data room (VDR)
  • Datasite Prepare: Aids in the preparation of transactions
  • Datasite Outreach: Optimizes the early-stage asset marketing process
  • Datasite Acquire: Dedicated buy-side application

Speaking about the acquisition, Datasite CEO, Rusty Wiley, stated:

“CapVest has a history of transforming the size and scale of its portfolio companies so these companies can realize their full potential. With their backing we’re ready for our next phase of growth, which will include the introduction of new and innovative technologies to make transactions faster, simpler, and more secure, enabling our customers to achieve better deal outcomes.”

The acquisition price was not disclosed at this time.
