Finnish Fintech ReceiptHero Secures €2 Million Through Seed Round Led By Lifeline Ventures, Superhero Capital & Vidici Ventures

ReceiptHero, a Finnish fintech, announced on Thursday it secured €2 million through its latest seed round, which was led by Lifeline Ventures, Superhero Capital, and Vidici Ventures

Founded in 2018, ReceiptHero describes itself as an open digital receipt system that sends digital receipts from point of sale (POS) systems to various applications, such as expense tracking and accounting software.

Our journey in the receipt business isn’t a new thing, since selling eTasku to Accountor Group in 2018, we’ve been more committed to removing paper receipts from existence and finding ways to build out a global platform allowing merchants to send customers receipts without the need for the printer to… print.”

ReceiptHero reported that the seed round will enable its team to move more effectively in all of the areas that are key to making digital receipts a “mass adopted solution.”

“In terms of product, we will continue the development of our platform, making sure we execute our responsibility as being a secure PCI DSS compliant company. We are on a path to creating and launching value added services on top of the data, so that merchants can see even more value by distributing their receipts to customers. You’ll also see lots more integrated POS and PSP partners coming in 2021. Our mission is to work with everyone in the ecosystem to make sure that the platform is win-win for all participants.”

ReceiptHero then noted its next phase will also be to work closely with Finland’s biggest retail chains, which means finding common ground with Kesko and S-Group. The startup added:

“We believe in an open ecosystem where all merchants participate and customers choose where their receipt data lands.”
