PayPal Introduces New Amex Send And Split Feature

PayPal (NASDAQ: PYPL) announced on Thursday it has introduced an Amex Send and Split feature. The company reported that this is a new way for it and Venmo customers to send money and split purchases.

We’re always looking for new and exciting ways to make it easy for you to send and receive money from your friends and family, whether you’re splitting the costs for food delivery or sending a gift for a special occasion. As we prepare for a holiday season that will look a little different this year, we’ve teamed up with American Express to offer their Card Members a new way to seamlessly send money, split purchases and manage their expenses with PayPal and Venmo.”

PayPal noted that if a customer is eligible American Express Consumer Card Member in the U.S., they will be able to access Amex Send and Split. PayPal went on to add:

With the Amex Split feature, you’ll be able to select any pending or posted purchase and seamlessly split it with other PayPal or Venmo customers, making sharing costs for a group gift a breeze this holiday season. You can choose to split the amount evenly or adjust the amount for each individual, and get paid back directly to your Card as a statement credit.

Venmo users can enroll for the feature on November 23rd.
