Trulioo, an on-demand global identity verification company, announced on Friday it has appointed Leigh Ramsden as its new Chief Financial Officer. According to Trulioo, Ramsden has more than 20 years of financial analysis and progressive leadership experience and will succeed Anne Lawlor, who will be retiring after serving the company for more than eight years.

Ramsden notably served as Absolute Software’s Interim Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance, where he successfully led the development of Absolute’s financial planning and analysis function and financial technology infrastructure. He also recently participated in a successful $69 million public equity raise and cross-listing to Nasdaq for the company.

Trulioo further revealed that in his new role, Ramsden will report to the CEO and lead all aspects of Trulioo’s finance function, including accounting, financial reporting and analysis, financial operations, capital planning, tax, treasury, and investor relations. Speaking about the appointment, Steve Munford, President and CEO of Trulioo, stated:

“I want to thank Anne for her significant contributions to the company throughout the years. During her time at Trulioo, she has added tremendous value and we truly appreciate her long-standing commitment to the company.”

Ramsden added:

“I can’t imagine a more exciting time to join Trulioo. I’m thrilled to be part of the company’s mission to accelerate financial inclusion through verifiable digital identities for the entire global population. I look forward to working with Steve and the leadership team to drive strategic growth initiatives, profitability, and enhanced value for Trulioo shareholders.”
