LabCFTC Schedules Empower Innovation Event for October

Coinciding with DC Fintech Week (DCFW), LabCFTC, the innovation branch of the US Commodities Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), will host an event on October 21, 2020, entitled, “Empower Innovation 2020.”

According to the CFTC, This is the second of three interactive virtual events hosted by LabCFTC to facilitate a “dialogue on cutting-edge fintech innovation among innovators, regulators, market participants, and the public.”

The agenda includes the following:

10:30 a.m. Panel Discussion: Regulatory CIOs – Chief Innovation Officers As part of the CFTC’s Empower Innovation 2020 series, LabCFTC will convene its Innovation Office counterparts from the SEC, OCC, and NYDFS to discuss how regulators view financial innovation, how to engage with regulators, and what interests regulators during “demos” of technological innovations.
