StartEngine Forms Partnership with Jamestown Invest to Offer Real Estate Securities Under Reg A+

StartEngine, one of the largest crowdfunding platforms in the US, has formed a partnership with Jamestown Invest to facilitate real estate investment opportunities. According to a release,  the new online real estate investment vehicle will offer property investments under Reg A+.

Reg A+ is a securities exemption that allows issuers to raise up to $50 million from both accredited and non-accredited investors. The exemption has emerged as a popular and effective vehicle for real estate investment platforms. StartEngine reports that since platform launch it has facilitated over $150 million in capital for 350+ different companies – mainly startups and early-stage ventures. StartEngine states that the listing of real estate securities is being driven by demand.

“We’re very excited to introduce Jamestown Invest to investors who have voiced a desire to invest in real estate,” said Howard Marks StartEngine co-founder and CEO. “With its focus on value-added real estate opportunities, Jamestown Invest offers our investors the ability to invest in real estate with a proven team.”

Michael Phillips, a principal and President of Jamestown, said that today’s generation of investors want to have a sense that their investments are lifting communities and building their neighborhoods; they want to know that their investment managers share their values:

“We launched Jamestown Invest so individuals throughout the US could have the opportunity to invest in commercial real estate through a platform where there is a multi-dimensional return. StartEngine is an ideal partner for Jamestown Invest because they understand the importance of this type of relationship.”

Jamestown Invest is described as an online direct-to-consumer investment vehicle that allows US individuals the opportunity to invest in real estate for a minimum of $2,500. The fund focuses on the acquisition of value-add properties in urban locations with the potential for repositioning or redevelopment.

Jamestown, L.P. was established in 1983 as an investment and management company focused on income-producing real estate in the United States. Jamestown Invest was launched in 2019.
