WorldRemit, a UK based Fintech in the digital money transfer sector, announced on Tuesday it has formed a new partnership with global identity verification and authentication company, Onfido, to make it easier and quicker for its customers to open an account and send money abroad.
WorldRemit noted that partnering with Onfido will allow it to further automate the Know Your Customer (KYC) decision-making process to verify the identification of customers. The collaboration will also support WorldRemit’s mission for financial inclusion on its platform. While sharing more details about the partnership, Stephen Moffatt, director of payments at WorldRemit, stated:

As part of our constant efforts to improve and refine our customer experience, adding Onfido’s functionality to our registration process will ensure that we can put our customers on the happy path of sending money home while protecting them from fraudsters.”

Founded in 2010, WorldRemit is seeking to change the way people send money abroad. The company sends to 150 countries around the world and has more than four million customers.
