Crypto.com Waives 3.5% Credit Card Fee For Crypto Purchases & Increase Rebates For Essential Purchases During COVID-19 Pandemic

Hong Kong-based cryptocurrency platform Crypto.com has announced it is waiving the 3.5% credit card fee for crypto purchases during the next three months (April through June) as well as increasing rebates for essential purchases (food, groceries, and delivery) during the COVID-19 pandemic. Supported brands of the rebate include Uber Eats, Deliveroo, Foodpanda, McDonald’s, Domino’s Pizza, and Walmart. Additional brands will be added shortly. Initially, it may take 2-3 business days for the rebate to be applied.

Also, as part of the measures that Crypto.com is taking, the platform will offer double rewards on the gift card purchases of food delivery and groceries. Supported brands include Tesco, Whole Foods, Safeway, Carrefour, Sainsbury’s, Just Eat, Papa John’s, Domino’s, and more. Additional brands will be added.

Speaking about the changes, Kris Marszalek, Co-Founder and CEO of Crypto.com, stated that he and his team are introducing three measures which they hope will make the next three months slightly easier for Crypto.com users globally.

“The global Coronavirus pandemic has affected everyone’s lives and is now ravaging the economy. In these tough times, businesses that are in a fortunate position to be growing have a responsibility to give back.”

Founded in 2016, Crypto.com is aiming to accelerate the “world’s transition” to cryptocurrency. Its key products include the Crypto.com App, the MCO Visa Card, and the Crypto.com Chain. The platform recently announced it has reduced withdrawal fees for a total of 12 cryptocurrencies.
