R3 an enterprise blockchain platform that has developed “Corda” and was founded with the support of multiple financial services firms, has hired Dorothy Copeland, as Global Head of Partner Ecosystem & Alliances.
Copeland previously worked at both Amazon Web Services (AWS) and IBM. While at IBM, Copeland led the company’s partner business function across the areas of software, cloud, systems, and services for over 80,000 solution providers. During her tenure at AWS, Copeland is said to have “built the company’s global ecosystem programs from the ground-up,” according to a release.
Copeland said she was delighted to join R3 to drive the significant opportunity in the market for R3’s partner ecosystem. She called R3 a “clear leader in enterprise blockchain platforms, which have the potential to transform industries around the world.”
Cathy Minter, Chief Revenue Officer, R3 explained that Copeland joins at an important juncture for R3, as they work on establishing Corda Enterprise as the go-to technology for the enterprise space.
R3 reports more than 350 members and partners across multiple industries from both the private and public sectors to develop on Corda, its open-source blockchain platform, and Corda Enterprise, a commercial version of Corda for enterprise usage.
