Overfunding: Football Traveling Platform Homefans Quickly Surpasses £200,000 Through Latest Crowdcube Round

Less than three years after raising £109,550 through its first Crowdcube round, football travel experience brand Homefans has returned to the equity crowdfunding platform and surpassed its initial £200,000 funding target 72 hours after the initiative’s debut.

As previously reported, Founder Luke Verbeek founded Homefans in 2016 after traveling years to watch football in the UK and he noticed there was a gap in the market for the new group trips in Europe. The company is already collaborating directly with football clubs, aims to change the way fans experience football in the UK and Europe.

“Homefans welcomed travellers from 40+ countries in the last 2 years on their trips and scaled to 35+ destinations worldwide to deliver football experiences off the beaten path. With the introduction of its new product, the match day experiences, the company aims to further expand its presence in the football travel market and scale globally.”

Speaking about the campaign’s success so far, Founders Verbeek and Daniel Velásquez stated:

“We are delighted to have hit our target so quickly and to have our own travellers and network owning a piece of the pie. The round will allow us to expand our global range of match day experiences at a rapid pace, grow our team and invest in long term organic marketing plans to expand our sales globally.”

Funds from the Crowdcube campaign will be used for continuous growth, team strengthening, expansion of sales and the offering of new experiences. Homefans is currently offering 10.42% in equity at a £1,789,500 pre-money valuation through the funding round, which is set to close at the end of March.
