Chinese fintech Pintec Technology Holdings Limited (PINTEC) announced on Monday it has formed a new partnership with CITIC aiBank Corporation Limited (aiBank) to provide technical solutions for aiBank’s digital lending business. According to Pintec, the first phase of the cooperation will focus on online consumer financial products. Pintec further stated:
“Pintec has accumulated rich experience in serving customers from online travel, online shopping, online education and other sectors. As of September 30, 2019, Pintec has helped partners realize sales of 6.28 million orders for airline tickets, 7.69 million orders for train tickets, and 7.78 million orders for hotel bookings. Pintec has cooperated with Crip, Qunar, Vip.com to provide digital lending solutions as well as jointly develop, operate and manage consumer financial products with these partners.”
The partnership with aiBank comes just a month after Pintec announced its new partnership with a comprehensive financial service platform, West Guarantee. Through that partnership, Pinter and West Gurantee will carry out in-depth collaboration with both technology and financial service areas to improve the efficiency of financial services and facilitate the development of inclusive finance in China market. This will be done by leveraging “state of art” technologies such as big data and advanced risk management models.
