Update: Online Giving Solution Givt Set to Close Seedrs Round With Nearly €660,000 in Funding

Givt, a Netherlands-based giving platform that offers a solution to charities and parties dependent on donations, is now nearing €675,000 in funding through its equity crowdfunding campaign on Seedrs. The company launched the funding round in November with a goal to raise a minimum of €600,000 while offering 7.99% in equity at a €6,907,950 pre-money valuation.

Founded in 2015, Givt describes itself as the solution for participation in a collection without cash. The company’s mission is to transform the engagement between givers and charitable causes and bring the two parties to optimize the impact they collaboratively can have. Givt noted that it believes these are the eight giver’s needs:

  • Anonymity
  • Autonomy
  • Speed
  • Optimizing the donation
  • Universal Application
  • Visibility of engagement
  • Transparency
  • Impact

The company further explained:

“Our vision at Givt is to forge the bridge between technology and giving where users will be able to achieve philanthropic goals. Whether that is donating a certain amount a year, supporting specific causes or being part of a community. Givt will advise, monitor and notify the user about campaigns that will support their personal goals.”

Funds from the Seedrs round will be used to develop Givt’s Personal Giving Assistant (PGA), which allows others to set personal goals to support their preferred charitable campaigns. The company added:

“The proceeds will be used to cover the salary cost of the development team [of PGA] and the necessary expenses.”
