Overfunding: Pork Brand Snaffling Pig Surpasses £750,000 Funding Target on Crowdcube

Snaffling Pig, a UK-based pork brand, has successfully surpassed its initial £750,000 funding target on equity crowdfunding platform Crowdcube. The campaign was launched earlier this month and the company is offering 7.67% in equity at a £10 million pre-money valuation.

Founded in 2015, Snaffling Pig describes itself as a premium food and drink brand that is fueled by a passion for making flavored pork crackling

That belief morphed into an obsession – to the point that after we launched a range of Great Taste Award-winning, in our opinion, frankly awesome flavoured pork crackling along came whopping great big advent calendars, beers, ciders, sauces, a cookbook and a wide range of gifts, straight from the porky gods themselves.”

Snaffling Pig also noted that in 2016 it appeared on Dragons’ Den gaining investment from Nick Jenkins, founder of Moonpig and in 2017 it was awarded Virgin Foodpreneur, managing to high-five Richard Branson. The company then revealed it sold more than 3 million bags last year, all distributed by our team of 10 in Yattendon, Berkshire. In regards to what the funding will be used for, Snaffling Pig added:

We are deeply passionate about pubs and Great British food and we need your help to raise £750,000 to further grow our porky brand to new customers and new categories. Together we really can make the piggin’ magic happen.”

The campaign is set to close at the beginning of October.
