Wirecard to Provide International Payments Service For Turkey’s BluTV

Germany-based global provider of digital payments and commerce solutions Wirecard announced on Monday it will now be providing service for BluTV, a Turkey-based streaming subscription service with over four million subscribers, in its global expansion.

According to Wirecard, BluTV is a Turkish digital streaming platform and offers Turkish content on a worldwide scale. As part of the internationalization of the streaming service, the company is providing BluTV with digital payment solutions across Europe. Wirecard further explained:

“The streaming services industry is growing rapidly worldwide. A global study carried out by the Motion Picture Association of America revealed that in 2018, the number of subscriptions to streaming services increased to 613.3 million, a 27% increase in comparison to the previous year. In fact, subscriptions to streaming services surpassed cable subscriptions in 2018.”
