Crypto Valley Association Books Big Names for Annual Event, IBM, European Commission Representatives Plan Attendance

The Crypto Valley Association (CVA), Switzerland’s advocacy group for the advancement of digital assets, has announced the speakers for this year’s Crypto Valley Conference. The Association reports that representatives from IBM, Dfinity, University College London, LiquidityNetwork, ConsenSys, NEO, R3, the European Commission, Swiss National Bank, the World Trade Organization (WTO), PwC and the Swiss Bankers Association will all be in attendance.

Daniel Haudenschild, President of the Crypto Valley Association, said the event is growing significantly in size and stature:

“…this conference is an important moment for the Swiss blockchain ecosystem, allowing us to showcase our position in the global blockchain industry, and encourage discussions and exchanges of ideas in this rapidly developing sphere.”

Even as the initial coin offering sector of blockchain retreats, the CVA continues to promote use cases and applications of distributed ledger technology.

Dr. Alexander Denzler, of Lucerne School of Applied Sciences and Arts – a partner in organizing the event, said the blockchain space evolves at an incredibly fast pace, and the role of academics in this development must not be underestimated.

“This conference will be crucial in allowing for actors in the space to interact and learn from each other.”

Over 100 speakers are expected to address a variety of topics including cryptoeconomics, regulation, governance, supply chain, IoT, shared data, smart contract security, micropayments, identity management, and consensus protocols.

The conference agenda will also include the second Swiss Blockchain Investor Day organized by the Swiss ICT Investor Club (SICTIC).

“This year’s Crypto Valley Conference is bound to result in great insights and conversations. Our recent report, in conjunction with PwC, showed movement across the blockchain ecosystem in areas such as regulation, the popularity of Security Token Offerings, and growth of asset tokenization. Collectively these trends will make for thought-provoking insights from both attendees and speakers,” added Haudenschild.

The conference is scheduled to take place 24-26th June 2019 in Zug, Switzerland.
