Update: VITL Set to Close Crowdcube Campaign With More Than £1 Million in Funding

VITL, a UK-based personalized nutrition platform, is set to close its equity crowdfunding campaign round on Crowdcube with more than £1 million in funding. The campaign, which launched last money and quickly raised its £400,000 initial funding target, has attracted nearly 480 investors.

As previously reported VITL delivers personalized vitamin packs tailored to users through artificial intelligence. Using proprietary algorithms, the company then creates a fully personalized vitamin pack for each user, which are available for subscription, directly to their door. Earlier this year, VITL enhanced its offering further with nutrition focussed DNA tests to get insight into genetic predispositions such as caffeine metabolism, alcohol sensitivity, and vitamin uptake, alongside at home blood test kits.

The company has already completed over 50,000 consultations and delivered over 30,000 vitamin packs. It is also backed by leading U.K investors including the founders of Zoopla, LoveFilm, Bulldog Skincare and Bloom&Wild, alongside the £100m Angel Co Fund. Speaking about using the crowdfunding method for its latest round, the VITL team stated:

“Opening the round to crowdfunders on the same terms as our angels and institutions, VITL intends to use the funds to increase growth marketing, build out the team and further develop a range of exciting new products.”

In a recent update, the team shared:

“Thanks again to all those that have already backed us, we’ve excitingly just passed through the £1m mark, raising over £50,000 in last 48 hours alone, and are already looking forward to executing on some exciting plans and partnerships in the coming months!”

The funding round will close later on this evening.
