OpenFinance Network Receives New Investment from Digital Asset Investor Morgan Creek Capital Management

OpenFinance Network has a new investor. According to a release, Morgan Creek Digital Assets has signed up to fund the firm for an undisclosed amount. As part of the deal, Anthony Pompliano has joined the firm as a key advisor. Pompliano is founder and partner at Morgan Creek Digital Assets.

Morgan Creek Capital Management is said to control over $1 billion in assets and is an industry leader in digital asset investments. The company is apparently planning to invest hundreds of millions into blockchain investment opportunities.

OpenFinance Network is a regulated security token trading platform and is developing distributed ledger technology for improving systems of alternative asset trading. OpenFinance has signed multiple deals with well known Fintech / Blockchain firms. In May, OpenFinance partnered with Republic, Harbor, Securitize, and Science Blockchain. The platform claims to have 130+ security tokens in pipeline representing $6 billion in value. If you are interested in learning more, CI spoke to OpenFinance earlier this year.

Pompliano says, that OpenFinance Network has been working on regulated exchange solutions for many years and has a “distinct first mover advantage.”

“Future transactions of regulated securities won’t be based on legacy infrastructure, but rather, will be digitally native.”

Juan Hernandez, CEO and founder of OpenFinance, said they were thrilled to have Pompliano on board and added that  his experience and expertise in digital assets will be invaluable “as we build the foundation for a tokenized future.”
