Brainville, said to be the largest Nordic platform for freelancers / consultants, is looking to raise growth capital on FundedByMe. BrainVille is a site that is part of the fast emerging sharing economy – similar to Upwork or Freelancer but for larger projects. The average size consulting project is said to be around SEK 1 million (USD 113,000)
Brainville says the consultant market is growing rapidly, both in Sweden and globally. Founded in 2013, if is used by around 13.000 consultant firms.
Co-founder and CEO Manuel de Verdier, says the have largely bootstrapped their firm so far;
“We have built the platform and proven that it works – entirely on our own capital. Our big clientele in combination with the great results are a proof of our success. Now the company prepares for expansion and that is why external financing is important,” says Verdier.
The site allows users to post an advertisement free of charge, both consultants and employers. Consultants can seek out the appropriate assignment for them and contact the employer. In this way the employer gets the best person for the job. Brainville is quick to note that it is never a part of the deal and does not interfere with the parties agreements. In the most recent year, Brainville says it posted 25,000 consulting opportunities. New funding will 
primarily be used for marketing /PR purposes as they are doing little to promote their service today except word of month.
