YouCaring Acquires Indiegogo’s Personal Cause Platform Generosity; Indiegogo Named YouCaring’s Entrepreneurial Fundraising Partner

YouCaring announced on Thursday it has acquired Indiegogo’s personal cause platform, GenerosityThe online fundraising platform revealed along with the acquisition, it has formed a long-term partnership with the global crowdfunding platform, which has been named YouCaring’s Entrepreneurial Fundraising Partner. Speaking about the Generosity acquisition and partnership, YouCaring’s Dan Saper stated:

“Today, I’m excited to announce that we’ve acquired Generosity and entered into a long-term partnership with Indiegogo to become their exclusive charitable crowdfunding platform. Generosity.com has helped Americans in need raise more than $100 million to date. This marks our second acquisition, after GiveForward, in the last year. We’re focused on building a brand centered on the belief that no one needs to face hardship alone. Since 2008, Indiegogo has been a pioneer in crowdfunding for entrepreneurs and creators. With this acquisition and partnership, we are one step closer to fulfilling our vision of becoming the most loved and trusted charitable giving platform in the world. Thanks to our generous community of donors, we’ve been able to remain free to use since we launched in 2011, which has always been a key pillar of our strategy.”

Saper then shared that YouCaring has crossed the $1 billion threshold and has a global community of more than 10 million donors. Indiegogo also reported that as it transitions personal cause and nonprofit campaigns to YouCaring, its users will be able to continue charitable crowdfunding efforts and take advantage of the resources that YouCaring’s platform offers (including fee-free fundraising, real-time support, and expertise in supporting fundraising for personal, medical, and charitable cases).

Indiegogo continues to offer expert support, resources and partners to help innovators go from idea to market, faster. A global marketplace for ingenuity, our diverse community of creators, backers, and buyers makes Indiegogo the ideal place to launch and discover innovative products. We look forward to working with YouCaring to support personal and non-profit fundraisers in the coming year.

Generosity fundraisers will notably continue to raise funds until March 29th.
