Just a few months before the highly anticipated premiere of Indiegogo-funded Super Troopers 2, the film’s production company Broken Lizard released the comedy’s official trailer. As previously reported, Broken Lizard sought to raise $2 million for the sequel of the 2001 cult classic Super Troopers and raised more than $4.6 million. The sequel’s synopsis reads:
“When a border dispute arises between the U.S. and Canada, the Super Troopers are tasked with establishing a Highway Patrol station in the disputed area.”
Super Troopers 2 stars some of the original film’s cast members, including both movie’s director Jay Chandrasekhar, along with Steve Lemme, Erik Stolhanske, and Kevin Heffernan. Other cast members include Emmanuelle Chriqui, Rob Lowe, Hayes MacArthur, Tyler Labine and Will Sasso. The film’s release day is April 20th.
