Kimbia Announcement: Ninth Annual North Texas Giving Day Raises $39 Million For More Than 2,700 Nonprofits

Last week, Kimbia announced the ninth annual North Texas Giving Day, which was hosted by Communities Foundation of Texas(CFT), raised $39 million for more than 2,700 nonprofits through its crowdfunding platform.

The funding portal revealed that the event took place on September 14th and raise $2 million more than last year’s event with a 15% increase in the number of participating nonprofits. Susan Swan Smith, Chief Giving Day Officer at Communities Foundation of Texas and North Texas Giving Day Team Lead, shared:

“The North Texas community has once again blown us away with their generosity. Raising funds for local philanthropy is more important than ever, and we are deeply grateful for the donors, nonprofits, volunteers and partners, like Kimbia, who make this event possible year after year.”

Kimbia CEO Mark Perkins also commented:

“We couldn’t be more proud to partner with Communities Foundation of Texas on this incredible event. The dedication of the staff, the nonprofits involved and the generosity of the North Texas area continues to amaze us and humble us, and we are honored to serve this extraordinary giving event.”

Kimbia added that the North Texas Giving Day event has had a huge impact on the people of Dallas, Fort Worth and the surrounding areas, as more nonprofits have received funding each year.  By the numbers, this event has raised over $195 million in the last nine years.
