YouCaring Forms Partnership With Houston Texans’ JJ Watt For Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund

On Monday, crowdfunding platform for personal, medical, and charitable causes, YouCaring, announced it has teamed up with Houston Texans defensive end JJ Watt for Hurricane Harvey Relief effort fundraiser, which has already secured $1.2 million to help those affected by the storm. Speaking about the campaign, Watt stated:

“The recovery efforts after Hurricane Harvey are going to be massive, and many people will need our help to get back on their feet. It’s extremely difficult to have to watch the events unfold on TV and not be able to get back to Houston to help – but hopefully this fundraiser will help show our love and support to those who need it the most right now. Any donation that you can spare, no matter how large or small, no matter what city or state you live in, is greatly appreciated. We will come out of this stronger than ever.”

YouCaring’s CEO, Dan Saper, went on to add:

“The people of greater Houston need all the support they can get right now — not just financial, but also emotional and material. This is going to be a long and difficult recovery for thousands of families, and every bit helps.”

Other crowdfunding platforms have shared fundraisers dedicated to the Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. DonorsChoose launched a campaign dedicated to teachers affected by the storm, and GoFundMe set up a central location for all storm victim initiatives.
