Kickstarter Teams Up With The Brooklyn Comedy Festival For Annual Film Fest

Crowdfunding giant Kickstarter recently announced that for the second year it is teaming up with The Brooklyn Comedy Festival to present the annual Brooklyn Comedy Film Festival.

According to Kickstarter, this year’s festival has been expanded from short films only to a week-long program that includes feature-film premieres, cult classics revisited, shorts, and live conversations with the filmmakers behind the event’s selections. Kickstarter’s comedy lead, Taylor Moore, stated:

“One thing we look for in curating the shorts, and the features too, is something extraordinary – some rare element that feels beyond the usual. This year’s lineup is like a big, weird feast.”

Some films included at this year festival are Sex House, Snowy Bing Bongs Across the North Star Combat Zone, Village People, Neighborhood Food Drive, and Weekend Shorts. Screenings for the event are scheduled to take place at the Nikehawk Cinema in Williamsburg, Brooklyn from August 21st to the 27th. Doors to weeknight feature events open at 7 p.m., with the screenings starting at 7:30 p.m. To purchase tickets, click here.
