Lice Clinics of America Launches Reg CF Campaign on StartEngine

Lice Clinics of America,  a large lice treatment products, and services company, announced the launch of its Title III Regulation Crowdfunding Campaign (Reg CF) on StartEngine.  The funding round will allow accredited and non-accredited investors to purchase equity in the company.

Lice Clinics of America has grown rapidly to $7.6 million in 2016. The company noted that with supportive capital from 37Ventures, plus an engaged and passionate group of accredited angel investors, it has grown to more than 250 clinics in 17 nations and recently passed the 250,000 treatment mark with its patented and FDA-cleared AirAllé dehydration medical device and method.

“Smallpox, polio, measles, typhoid fever, whooping cough – these are all diseases for which modern medicine has a cure or vaccine. While head lice is not life threatening, the emotional and physical suffering it causes is significant – just ask anyone who has had to deal with lice. And despite their decades of opportunity in the marketplace, the leading global brands have failed to control lice. In fact, lice today are more prevalent than ever because the leading pesticide-based brands are now less than 50% effective. At Lice Clinics of America we have both the patented dehydration technology and FDA-cleared medical devices to put an end to this more-than-annoying family health problem – without pesticides or the risk of creating the next generation of Super Lice.”

Speaking about the crowdfunding campaign, CEO of Lice Clinics of America, Claire Robert, stated:

“We think our Reg CF offering will be very unique for both investors and supporters of what we do. This is more than just about raising capital to advance and expand Lice Clinics of America product and service offerings. We want people to know our story, including our philanthropic and community work, our mission to put an end to head lice, as well as to see this as a business opportunity where failure of the leading global brands has created great opportunity for innovation.”

Co-founder Howard Marks also commented:

“Companies can begin this process at any time – whether they are in very early stages or experiencing massive growth,” said Marks. “This solution to financing helps entrepreneurs stay true to their missions and maintain control of their companies. Consumer-owned means keeping the companies on track and allowing them to grow with their customer base.”

Roberts went on to add:

“Lice Clinics of America is committed to the communities in which we operate, so no one gets left behind. Yes, we are raising capital to supplement our ongoing growth strategy, but more importantly, we want to expand our network of supporters and attract people interested in helping us promote family health through accurate information and products and services that really work.”

Funds from the campaign will be used to accelerate the company’s new product market introduction and expansion. It is set to close later this summer.
