Glamour Dolls Makeup, a New Jersey-based cruelty-free and vegan cosmetic company, has teamed up with famous cartoon artist Lisa Frank to launch a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter. The duo is currently seeking funds for their new makeup collaboration.
Glamour Dolls revealed it is looking to put Frank’s well-known artwork into its cruelty-free makeup. The company stated that six new limited edition products and five new pieces cruelty-free and vegan makeup will be featured in the line. These are Lip Balm, Matte Mousse, Liquid Liner, Unicorn Lippie, Highlight Powder, and Vegan Leather Makeup Bag. Glamour Dolls also shared:
“Makeup is art. Lisa’s designs are masterpieces. It made sense to bring these two worlds together. The only thing that’s left is you. We want to bring you along for this glittery ride and keep your pout perfect for the whole trip! Glamour Dolls x Lisa Frank totally rad!”
Those that back the project will receive various rewards, including products from the markup line and digital backgrounds. Estimated delivery for all rewards is September 2017. Glamour Girls also noted that those who join the campaign will get a chance to do the following:
- Vote on product names
- Pick shades
- Unlock new products
- Get a behind the scenes look into how cosmetics are made
- Learn how Jess [Romano – Glamour Dolls founder] develops the products
- Be the first to see Lisa’s new designs
Originally seeking $30,000, the campaign has successfully secured its initial goal and is nearing $60,000 thanks to more than 1,300 backers. It is set to close on April 2nd.
