Crowdfunding Now On StartEngine: Hylete, Monday Motorbikes, & More

StartEngine announced on Wednesday the launch of four new funding opportunities. The initiatives were dedicated to Hylete, Monday Motorbikes, Alkane Truck Company, and Rayton Solar (which previously Tested the Waters on the equity crowdfunding platform).

Hylete

Hylete is described as a community-driven performance fitness apparel brand. The company has more than 150,000 customers and designs both men and women’s premiere performance apparel and gear. Hylete reported that in 2016, it generated $6.9 million in revenue, contributing to greater than $19 million in revenue since inception. The company stated in 2017 it will continue to not only add to our array of premium performance apparel but will be launching an extended lineup of backpacks and bags.

Monday Motorbikes

Monday Motorbikes is looking to introduce a new line of sleek and powerful electric motorbikes for urban commuters. Its first product, the M1, offers a simple and easy to ride while providing power, style, and attitude of a motorcycle. The company noted:

“At Monday Motorbikes, we introduce aspiring riders to the thrill of two-wheels on the world’s most stylish electric motorbike designed for urban transport. Our first product, the M1, is simple and easy to ride while providing the power, style and attitude of a motorcycle.”

Alkane Truck Company

Alkane notably assembles heavy-duty trucks that run on clean, alternative fuels. The company stated its vehicles will be available with any of four different fuel types, CNG; LPG; gasoline; or for international markets–diesel. The trucks will also include a  Class 7 cab-over delivery truck, a Class 8 cab-over, 18-wheel heavy hauler, and the Humvee-style, Alkane Dominator.

Rayton Solar

Rayton Solar, which received $7 million last fall while testing the waters, aims to create the most cost-effective solar panels available through a new silicon cutting technique. The company stated:

“Rayton Solar has bridged the gap between particle accelerator technology and solar energy production to create a revolutionary silicon cutting technique. This technique is projected to reduce solar panel manufacturing costs by upwards of 60% compared to industry standards, while making them 25% more efficient, and resulting in a very cost-effective source of energy.”
