Indiegogo Alum Eight Secures $5 Million During Series A Financing Round

Sleep technology startup Eight announced on Tuesday it raised $5 million during its Series A financing round, which brings the company’s total funds to $11 million. Investors including Yunqi Partners, Azure Capital, Y Combinator, Stanford StartX fund, Comcast Ventures, and Sinovation Ventures. This news comes just a couple after Eight fulfilled all of its pre-orders for its Indiegogo project, Eight Sleep Tracker.

Money Benjamin Dollars 100Speaking about the Series A round, Matteo Franceschetti, CEO and Co-Founder, Eight, stated:

“At Eight, we’re focused on leveraging technology to bring innovation to sleep so our customers can achieve more restful nights, productive days and ultimately live healthier lives. This round of funding further enables us to continue to invest in personalized, data-driven sleep solutions for our customers.”

Eight’s Sleep Tracker, which secured$1,229,829 from 6,010 backers, is described as a smart mattress cover that you slip over your existing mattress to transform it into an intelligent piece of technology, collecting biometric and environmental data in order to deliver personalized solutions for tracking and improving sleep. The company shared it delivered the Sleep Tracker to over 8,000 customers in more than 50 countries. Eight’s products are now also available on Amazon.
