Ldny, a social enterprise that aims to use the power of fashion to address social issues, announced on Wednesday it was launching a “Dress to Invest” work wear collection that is dedicated to supporting female entrepreneurs on equity crowdfunding platform, Seedrs. The new collection made its debut last month at the “Role Models” fashion show.

ldny-1According to the company, the new work wear collection is on a mission to address gender inequality in the workplace with a range of clothes that empower confidence in women and help them to know their worth. Ldny revealed 10% of the profits from the collection would be invested into a female entrepreneur’s campaign on Seedrs every month. It was also noted that the first Seedrs business to benefit through the collection is Looks, a new FashionTech platform that allows users to live chat with professional stylists and receive expert advice, along with getting personalized responses.

Jenny Holloway, Director of Fashion Enter, stated:

“As a British based factory, it has been special for us as we are working with Ldny on their “Dress to Invest” collection. It’s time for this country to fully support the makers of the nation.”

Karen Kerrigan, Chief Legal Officer at Seedrs, then added:

“Seedrs is delighted to be working alongside Ldny to promote female entrepreneurship. As champions of ambitious startups, we think it vital to keep empowering female founders, as well as women with an interest in investing in growth-focused businesses.”

The collection is now available on Ldny’s website in conjunction with a special opening Bell Ringing Ceremony at The London Stock Exchange.
