Indiegogo Ditches Surveys & Introduces New Feature “Item Options”

On Monday, Indiegogo announced it is introducing its latest feature, which eliminates the use of campaign surveys. The global crowdfunding platform introduced its latest feature, Item Options, as a way to help campaign organizers manage project perks much easier.

indiegogoThe funding portal revealed that Item Options now allows organizers to collect and also managing item preferences for any perk that their project is currently offering. Organizers can now ask backers for any item information, which includes size, color, etc., when they claim a perk. Sharing more details about the Item Option feature, Indiegogo stated:

You decide what information to collect when setting up your perks in your campaign editor. If you offer a t-shirt perk, you could collect a backer’s size and color. If you have a ‘thank-you twitter shoutout’ perk, you can easily collect a backer’s twitter username  – the possibilities are endless! Once your campaign is live, backers are prompted to provide the information you want when they claim a perk and contribute. It’s just that easy. Best of all, you’ll always know how certain perks and items are performing, as well as exactly how many of each item you’ll need to produce. You don’t have to send surveys after your campaign ends, try to track down backers for their information, or use an expensive third-party service.”

Indiegogo went on to add it believes that Item Options makes it easier than ever to bring crowdfunded project to market and fulfill perks, and it’s now available to most new campaigns.
