On Tuesday, Indiegogo and its partner, Arrow Electronics, announced Brad Holland, of Kordbot, is the first to win $25,000 in flash funds to help bring his product to life. The companies revealed they are giving $25,000 to three entrepreneurs throughout the month of October, with Holland being the first.

indiegogoAs previously reported, Indiegogo and Arrow announced they were offering $1 in flash funding to entrepreneurs. The companies announced their partnership earlier this summer and at the time, Indiegogo stated the collaboration will help to create a groundbreaking new platform aimed to accelerate the pace of innovation for technology and Internet of Things (IoT) entrepreneurs. The funding portal went on to add that the partnership makes Arrow a key component of its efforts to support the entire product lifecycle for entrepreneurs which goes from idea and funding to design, manufacture and retail. Recently, the duo announced their new crowdfund-to-production services, known as Arrow Certified. The companies revealed they were offering $1 million in flash funding. The Indiegogo team shared why Holland was the perfect candidate:

Brad is building the Kordbot, a chord generator and studio production assistant all in one unit, with Arrow’s guidance and funding from Indiegogo backers. However, the Kordbot really started with a deep passion for music.”

Holland, with his business partner Bill Behrendt, took to the crowdfunding platform to raise $55,000 for Kordbot, which is described as a chord generator and studio production assistant all in one unit. HeH noted:

“I’ve always been waiting for this thing [the Kordbot] to be something that I could go and buy. And it never happened. So we made it.”

Also explaining Arrow advisors’ help in the Arrow certified program, Brad stated:

kordbot“The expert advice has been invaluable. And I’ve already received huge amounts of it. The guys from Arrow have been proactive from the beginning, jumped on board and asked loads of questions. They’ve given tons of expert advice, they live and breathe the components, so they’re looking at our product telling what can be changed or improved.”

To participate in the flash funding, entrepreneurs must sign up for the program. Arrow will review blueprints and coach those who have a product with an electrical component and meets certification criteria. This is opened to both campaigns that have just started or already funded.
